“Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat, please to put a penny in the old mans hat!”
I have wonderful memories surrounding Christmas as a child, and for some or other reason that rhyme is in them all! It just exudes Christmas-y cheer (to me at least) I adore the Christmas season and all it entails, family gatherings, hosting my annual Christmas party, attending other parties, buying gifts for my loved ones, spending extra time with my husband. Christmas is a whirlwind of fun and love!
Friendships can be a beautiful thing and the majority of friendships are just that. A precious gift! Sadly not all friendships are healthy. Like everything in life, good friendships require work. I am not at all talking about good friendships though, but toxic friendships. Are you in a toxic friendship? How can you be sure?
Most of us spend a significant portion of our lives in our offices. The office has become a sort of home away from home. I find that if my home is cluttered and disorganized so am I. Its really difficult to be productive in a messy, unpleasant environment. A beautiful well organized environment is so much better for you, your employees, and your clients.
A mission statement is all important in the business world. In non-techy terms a mission statement tells people what your business aims to achieve.
What is a mission statement
A mission statement is a formal statement of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual. The purpose of a mission statement is to explain why your business exists, and the overall aim of your company. It clearly outlines the goals and purposes of your company. A good mission statement, will inspire and motivate your employees, and transform your business.
Welcome to the third step of creating your Ideal Life! “Living your Ideal Life Daily” sounds exciting. Right? You are probably picturing yourself relaxing on your veranda, glass of wine in hand, contemplating the successful day you had at work. Well I was, until I realized that I don’t have time for such luxury on a week night! Not after all the goals and tasks I set for myself in the last step of this series. If you are here for the first time welcome! If you want to you can start at the beginning of this mini series here.
The foundation of your business is all important, a stable foundation will help your business grow.
You are embarking on a new and exciting journey, a journey towards financial freedom, being your own boss, working the hours that suit your schedule. All good things! However, it is frightening how soon financial freedom becomes debt, or being your own boss ends you back up as an employee! I am not trying to talk you out of your business dreams. It is just important to be aware that there are two sides to every coin. Around two thirds of new businesses will make it to the second year. Half of start ups will make it to the fifth year. Only one-third of new businesses will survive to ten years. Like I said though, we are not here to rain on your parade. Our goal is to do our best to make sure that coin of yours, that coin lands heads up! That your business is one of the success stories.
Bookkeeping is vital to your companies growth and continued health. Bookkeeping provides you with a special insight into your business!
Many people view bookkeeping as an after thought. A painful task to be completed, or even a waste of time. I understand bookkeeping can be time consuming and frustrating, especially if you don’t have established procedures in place. However, bookkeeping is not a waste of time, bookkeeping is in fact a vital organ of your company, like lungs. Without our lungs quietly, automatically, doing their job, we’d be in big trouble. Bookkeeping is like the the lungs of your company, you want it to run quietly, automatically, and efficiently in the back ground.
We all love a good party, don’t we? I sure do, and I love throwing a good party even more! I can be a little bit of a control freak and if I am doing something, I like it to be just so, once I have an idea of the big picture I want I will make it happen. Party planning is no different, you envision something you want and start trying to turn it into reality. However, it is so easy to go over board in pursuing all the stunning ideas that I just need to have to create the party in my head! I learnt after throwing a few expensive parties that I could throw a wonderful party without breaking the bank.
